Hi, I'm Jermaine Griggs, founder of this site. We teach people how to express themselves through the language of music. Just as you talk and listen freely, music can be enjoyed and played in the same way... if you know the rules of the "language!" I started this site at 17 years old in August 2000 and more than a decade later, we've helped literally millions of musicians along the way. Enjoy!

I appreciated this tutorial. It helps when the keys are highlighed in blue and labeled above as you go through the process slowly. I did not quite understand the circle. Also, you went through the tones too fast towards the end.
    Thank you so much!

    Hi Jermaine

I wanna thank you for the lessons send. That is why I can say that nobody shall take you place. I wonder how organised you are. I feel very luck to encounter on the internet. This is an amazing grace for me. To be a persistent student is my duty and a constant teacher is important. Because you know how to encourage you students. By sending the lessons and also to see how far is the course going. That is why I don’t regret to be one of you student. Because if I can hear it then I can play It. Congratulations

Thank you Jermaine for the Video, Kirk Franklin. I appreciate how you broke everything down. Thanks for doing the song with the number system and how you explained most songs follow the same pattern most of the time. Thank you for opening up my understanding in Theory behind music. You make it so simple. May God continue to bless you bountifully.
