What lies within us…

For my second weekend motivational post, I want to share a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson…

“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”

Regardless of what you’ve faced and even overcome in the past, and prepare to encounter in the future, none of this is greater than the powers you hold within. Take the focus off external things and focus on who you have to become because everything else is “tiny” compared to YOU.

The bible says “Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.”

All the best —

    Hey JG, This is a great post.

    Just curious though, did you get the above picture from Mr&Mrs.Smith?

    I think i saw a scene like that with Brad Pitt in it. Those should be his legs.

    Or as the Al says: “The Khabs is in the Khu, not the Khu in the Khabs.” ;) (sounds a bit kryptic, I know :p)
    Everytime we feel sorrow or fear about the future or past, our true fear is to die. If we find out who we really are, there can be no greater joy in life than that of the moment right now, and everything what happened to us just doesn’t matter anymore. The most powerful force lies within us, not on the outside.
    Great inspiring post, as always!

    @Eresmas: No, I don’t think it’s from Mr. and Mrs. Smith. It’s royalty free from http://www.istockphoto.com. Lol, but good observation.

    @Peter H: So eloquently put! Thanks for your addition.

    @Brian: Lol

    @Margie: Thanks for your regular support.
