The 8 P’s of luck

luck-big.jpgAs you know, I reserve weekends for inspirational posts.

(Not that my hardcore music topics during the week aren’t motivating… but these weekend posts really aren’t centered around music. They are for anyone striving to do anything… pretty much.

So here goes…

I have six framed quotes in my home office (even more at the Hearandplay headquarters) but I must admit, I spend a lot more time in my home office than I do there. And out of the 6, I’ve already shared 3 of them.

Like this one…

And this one…

Today, I’m going to give you the 4th one. I would have taken a photo of it but my digital camera’s battery is out and I don’t want to wait for it to charge up. :(

Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity. So —

Prepare prayerfully,

Plan purposefully,

Proceed positively, and

Pursue persistently.

And may God bless your purpose on earth!

With these P’s, you can’t go wrong.

What does this mean to you?

Hi Germaine,

I am one of your “older” students (not too old though at only 62) and I am so much enjoying your newsletters and have been re-reading them today. I wanted to write down the inspirational quotes listed in the 4th (I believe) newsletter, however, part of one of them was missing in the photo. Could you finish it for me? “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. …. Your playing small……????

Due to a recent illness, I have been unable to sit at the piano for a few months, but have now built up my strength to sit for a while each day. I have downloaded the Song Robot and can’t wait to get started. What a great invention. I have downloaded a few pop songs off the internet and think it will also be fun to learn the songs and then turn off only the piano and turn back on the accompianment and then play along with the “orchestra”! What FUN that will be!!!!!

God Bless you and all you do.

Hey Pat,

Here’s the full quote:

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

THanks for your kind words and keep up the great work!

Germaine,

How glorious this quote is. It absolutely fills my heart and makes me know how much I need to take action in my life TODAY!!! [Do you know where the quote came from?].

Thanks so much for sharing. I shall certainly pass this on to my church group and my family and friends.

You and your site mean a lot to me. I thank the Lord for the love of God that I see flowing through you. Thanks for being such a blessing to others.

Pat
