Our very own Jonathan Powell got the opportunity to interview our good friend, Nelson Jackson, who’s currently the head organist at West Angeles Church Of God In Christ, where Pastor Charles E. Blake is the Presiding Bishop over the entire organization.
He gives some great insights for not only gospel musicians but all aspiring musicians!

Hello, My name is Darryl and I am a keyboardist/organist. I purchased the Mike Bereal CD and I am really enjoying Mike’s humbleness as he freely shares helpful tips and techniques that will enhance our musical styles. I was equally pleased to discover that Jason White will be sharing his perspectives in the near future. These two guys have to be among the very elite as it involves gospel musicians. I am hoping that the founders of hear and play will get the other heavy weights to complete the starting five. Those persons would be Kevin Bond, Cedric Thompson and/or Asaph Ward/Justin Salvage to complete the list of elite keyboardist. Now, one problem that I discovered with my order was the bonus DVD, I can hear the audio but there is no visual. What do I need to do to get a Complete DVD. Please Advise.
Hi Daryl,
Thanks for your great feedback.
Since we gave away one of 4 courses for the bonus that first day, I would need to know which one you ordered. If you ordered the Gospelkeys Urban 625, it is an audio course. The other ones were dvds.
Send us an e-mail at webmaster (at) hearandplay.com or call 1-877-856-4187 to get it sorted out.
All the best and keep the comments coming! :)

…singing in a “what u know about jesus…he’s alright” tune….”pay yo tithes and yo offren’…!!!!”
Nelson Jackson III is a wonderful organist. I’ve been to a few services at West A after hearing so many good things about his musicianship, all the men he named M. Bereal, Jimmy and Mike Nueble are indeed “the Baddest Band in the Land”
Ihr Gedanke ist sehr gut
