I think a lot of these ideas stem from a systemic problem in business as a whole. Many businesses are thinking all about the short term. A long term approach is the way of the future. How can we create lasting relationships with our fans?

Another issue is that traditional marketing has gone out the window and the tradition record store is now online. Yes, the death of the album is an important factor in this, but surely we all knew it was coming?

As an industry we need to provide better value to our consumers.
